Welcome to ThurstonHeretoThere.org

Are you interested in reducing your personal transportation costs while helping to reduce the congestion on our local roads? Maybe you would like to try biking to work but you aren’t sure what the best route would be. Perhaps you would like to give teleworking a try but you aren’t sure what steps you need to take to make that happen. You can find answers to those questions and many others by using the resources available on this website. Thurston Regional Planning Council developed ThurstonHeretoThere.org to help people who live in and around Thurston County try alternative ways to travel around our community.

Whether you want to try riding the bus, biking, walking, carpooling, or telecommuting, you can find all of the information you need to get started on this website. You will also find outreach and promotional materials, travel calculators, maps, health-related resources and tools to help individuals and businesses find different ways to travel.

Please take a few minutes to explore our website and see how the resources here might help you work something new into your regular travel patterns.

This project was made possible with a grant from the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) Program, which is helping U.S. cities, counties, states, territories and Indian tribes develop, promote and implement local energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. The EECBG Program, funded for the first time by the Recovery Act, is a major investment in energy solutions that will strengthen America’s economy, create jobs locally and immediately deploy the cheapest, cleanest, and most reliable energy technologies we have—energy efficiency and conservation. Learn more about the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program at: www.eere.energy.gov/wip/eecbg.html.
